Steve & all: on the Asian recovery.

Please see article from the Sydney Morning Herald:

smh.com.au

Given there has been some "encouraging" articles and the actions in the Asian markets recently (and again today), do any of you based in the Region have a read on whether this recovery will be sustainable, or it will fall flat again (as in the early optimism of the beginning of this year)?

Thanks & best rgds,
Steve

The Goldman outlook on the peso is quite pessimistic, though the data coming from the banking sector seems to warrant it. Non performing loans have doubled from 5% to over 10% of outstandings recently.
When the Soros' and Robertsons regroup from their recent heavy losses, they will resume the regional attack on overvalued currencies.
