Shroder,

You're right, random numbers mean nothing so my speculation there is just an opinion.

As for my thoughts regarding ASND or COMS being purchased, again they are my opinion as well, but an opinion held by many. You are right CS is a great target as are XYLN and FORE. So, I can't argue with anything you said. Not sure what this means regarding my assuption that COMS is up on speculation. Many of the MM's believe COMS is a target - whether you do or not. If that is the case then you can bet that is, in part, why it has been rising recently.

Anyway, thanks for your comments and thoughts.. Mr. Networking Expert.

Shroder,
In regards to your suggestion that Gary isn't a networking insider, you are obviously new to this thread.

There is speculation somewhere that pretty much every networking company that isn't CSCO is a takeover target by LU. ASND is considered a frontrunner and COMS is certainly a candidate. Like you said, CS is a candidate, but it is rumored that Benson and Levine want to be made "whole" on their stock price (further rumored to be $40/share). This is a significant obstacle for a networking company that is struggling to stay in the game.

The rumor as to who is the front runner for acquisition by LU rotates on a weekly basis. The chart for CS in Oct doesn't look any better than any of the other candidates in this regard. On Friday their volume and price action was good, but it was for several of the other candidates. Significant though to CS is that it didn't break through resistance at $12.5, which it surely would have if a deal was in the bag.

Shroder,

Just a data for me...so I can calibrate your "hat size". Where were you last week and where are you today and tomorrow?
