ZP,

Have you considered a CPU fan?

Matter of fact, picked one up and installed it yesterday. Can no longer find a hot spot to touch inside the 166 case. A little voice inside my head was saying: "Hey, it ran since 7/96 as hot as that - don't &$%^* worry about it!" ... But rational or not I WAS concerned and I am now significantly more at ease over the fire risk! <g>

The fan/heat sink combo "586 CPU Cooler" distributed by CompUSA was $15. CompUSA had the ACER Ergo keyboard I've got picked out at $10 less than I found it on the web (but already have it ordered - about 1 day away according to UPS). And now CompUSA joins the august list of retailers who have laughed at my quest for rubber fan mounting posts. Actually I was pleasantly surprised to find the people on the floor at C-USA yesterday were reasonably knowledgeable, very polite and eager to please. And not in denial about holes in the stocking line.
