Terence... All I know is somthing lit a fire under this puppy's butt around 1:25 (est) time on Friday afternoon and I do not think it was one of the "big boyz" i.e. Teck or Falco...

It's my belief the SVB's reacted to a cell phone order from somebody, who was in the know, that individual in turn relayed the info to somebody else and down the grapevine she went... I'm more inclined to believe that somebody saw something they liked and placed a large order with their broker soon after... That large order "kick started the whole play"... Look at the trades fro the previous sessions... Nobody stepped in and started to take out offerings for a hell of a long time... Everybody was sitting on bids with their rubber gloves on... The minute that offerings started to disappear she reacted like a lightning bolt...To many people were watching this play in anticipation of the last Harrah...

I to am hoping that there is substance to what the 'ell is occuring now...

One thing for sure this time... I'm taking profits whenever I got them...

...ed

ps: I'm also releived to see that there is no "slam/spam dunking going on here...

<< I "hope" for all concerned that this was not a "scurrilous, dastardly, manipulation of people's hopes" >>

I hope so too! If these speculative markets are ever going to really pick up again the "pros" can't go out of their way to just burn the little guys on stupid little scams. If they are just trying to churn the SVB stocks for a little while to unload their own paper onto the little guys it will only serve to cripple the speculative markets even more... which would hurt the "pros" in the end...

For that reason I believe that there is some substance to this rally in the SVB stocks...

I hope......

The other option is that the "pros" are creating this false mini-rally to unload their paper before SVB falls flat on its face and goes into hibernation for the winter.... I don't believe this to be the case...

I hope....
