Compare ALYD with say VIAS which dropped to under 3 after reporting a small loss this qrt.,

Alyd didn't report a small loss. Alyd reported a small profit. Also up 277% fro Q3 last year. From -.13 cent to +.10 cents for the same period. This maybe helped.........plus 9 new contracts in Oct.

I hope Alyd holds today. We'll see. Good Luck

Three major reasons for current support:

1) Robert Sims hit the nail on the head... the company reported a profit. It appears that there may be a large amount of unbilled business that accounted for the less than expected earnings.

2) Significant contract growth. Y2K hasn't gone away. There is talk of big Fed cuts to pay for Y2K, ALYD received 9 contracts last month, and currently supports 47 active contracts.

3) New businesses... more announcements coming and hopefully some analyst coverage soon. Gruder talked about a pending acquisition. Throw in some speculation about CPWR buying shares and you have a reasonably positive outlook for the company.
