I agree Ten is a class guy, and certainly compared with some of the
other clueless Intel posters.

As far as Intels plans, I suspect they are in some disarray right now

will announce something different at Comdex.

They felt that mendocino would kill off AMD or at least cripple it.

The obvious failure of Celery to do that must be giving them a real

heartache.

Wish I knew. Much of the news I get concerning Intel's direction doesn't necessarily come from my own employer. Many times I get more of my news from Tom's Hardware Guide than I do from Intel. Also, I work in server chipsets, which is pretty far from Celeron-ville roadmap-wise.

(Perhaps you can figure out why I take such personal offense at comments which suggest a defective 450NX chipset. Though I had nothing to do with the chipset, I work with people who did in the past.)
