Ken, Nope. Somebody else quoted him earlier on the thread. I don't know him. I suspect he is with the Van Kampen bunch in Chicago and not the American Capital side in Houston. But he could have shown up after I departed. However, it seems out of character for the CEO at VKAC to have an economist at the Houston side, where he is very "disciplined." In other words, no fundamentals allowed. -g-

As I replied in the other note, this fellow makes no mention of what happens to the dollar and the bond if the Fed tries this reckless move. The last time they moved that drastically was in the Depression. It didn't work then, unless it was the weak dollar that finally made the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor. -g- Also, no mention of how making money even easier is going to reduce the speculation caused by too easy money that led to the crisis in the first place. So, he doesn't know beans. IMHO, less the H, of course. -g-
