Barbara,

This has happened to me... BUT, (please don't get upset with me... there is a good lesson here) I IMMEDIATELY noticed it and retraced my steps.

Online trading is a wonderful thing... the GREAT thing about it (And, I too use NDB) is you can see IMMEDIATELY what has happened. I HATE those mailed transaction notices because they take too long to get to me.

Next time (since YOU control your own destiny), IMMEDIATELY check your transactions... check your account worth ONLINE, check your transcations ONLINE, don't wait for the paper to arrive!

AND lastly, if you believe in DCTC (or any other stock), buy back in at the current price (watch it cause it does fluctuate during the day!).

Mitch

Barbara, when the trade was executed normally the broker CONFIRMS the trade. Was there a confirmation? I ask because you say this was a surprise a day or so later, rather than a surprise upon getting the same-day confirmation.

You may have done it right and "they" blew it.

Does you browser maintain "temporary" screen shots that while OFF-LINE you could go through and actually see your order screen?

Look under the /WINDOWS/TEMPORARY directory or use a history feature. be OFF-LINE before doing this.

You must tell broker A.S.A.P. if there was an error that wasn't yours.

Colin

Barb,

I did a similar thing with a stop and a stop limit order. By the time I noticed it on line the stock had gone up another $1.00 from my stop...which, of course, it blew right through. Yow.

In the case of DCTC, why not just take the loss and buy back in? If this is a ten bagger, it will make little difference. You'll simply have that much more to write off against your gains unless you really think we won't go above today prices.

Sorry Barb, but maybe you'll feel a little better as the day goes on.

Onward,

George
