Hey Mike...don't forget about Merril Lynch Mob...they also downgraded semi-equips yesterday. Looks like there was a street session and the greatest minds in the industry haggled over a dead issue to figure out that these companies aren't gonna make a dime for at least a year. I'm sure glad i bought a half position of KLA puts. I was feeling queasy about it, but my gut was right. Some goofy investment house will probably come in next week and upgrade the group so i'm gonna run with my profits. These disasters i'm sure are going to be on someone's shopping list for christmas. But the first week of January is always a rush to return what you don't want and someone's bound to finally look at the numbers on these dogs.

I know you are bullish (whatever that may mean)on oils drillers and related stocks. Two that have really caught my eye in here are Petroleum Geo Services (PGO) and Coflexip Stena(CXIPY). The former is a specialized 3D and 4D seismic data company and their bottom line has weathered the storm fabulously. This company is by far the most technology advanced at what they do and management is pretty savvy in landing orders well into 1999. This pup doesn't rely on crude prices. Just the fact that people will consume more petroleum. The latter is a french company that has 80% of the market in sub-sea flexible pipes...which carry equipment down to the ocean floor and oil back up. As long as we consume more and more petroleum these companies will make more and more money, regardless of where the price of crude is....Would appreciate your thoughts.

Regards
