Compaq said Friday 10/30 that they were taking their holy war with Dell to a new level. They are announcing on Wednesday Nov-11th a new direct sales from their website program. They will feature build to order incentives to attack Dell's success. However, not to be outdone Dell announced they were going to aggressively recruit local and regional computer dealers, including Compaq partners, to sell Dell products into the small and medium-sized business market. Dell has also ramped up informational efforts to reach this audience.
