Gaps and A Fund Buy

Want to see a half mllion share fund buy that nettd them $1 a share - see ADPT - nice control over the mm on that one...

Gaps - I don't see any point to update after the 10:30 time frame except for at 3:30. What one looks for is an initial volume and price surge. After that, there is nothing more interesting about the stock than to play it intraday. And one would play it with a tool that shows the Bid and Ask, something like Medved's quote tracker is more than adequate (its what I use). If you use Mach6's lists for volume information, you will be looking at the wrong thing. It isn't the volume, per se, that is important, but the continued bid/ask improvement over the course of multiple buys. Thousands of smaller buys will provide a much more measurable trend then the corrolary effect of a few large buys - something that would get lost if one looked merely at the total volume. Even looking at volume and number of trades doesn't help unless one knows what the average ratio is.

Once the buy or short thresholds are reached, which is what the Mach6 lists are perfect for, then you look for the reversal or leveling with either a streaming quote ticker or real time charting tool.

Use a hammer for a hammer.
