Thanks for the very interesting link. I'm no expert, so take the following comments with a grain of salt if you like. Re: "The most specific proposal considered by the forum is the formation of a capital financing company to help semiconductor companies buy and lease equipment without having to go into debt." Wow!! That sounds VERY innovative! A debtless financing company. Maybe they can finance the purchase of my new home in a manner that would allow me to purchase it without going into debt. Re: "A business plan for the company is now being considered that would begin with seed money from semiconductor equipment vendors. The initial investment would then be leveraged on the bond market for four to five times as much money, giving the company the portfolio to back up its financing activities." That sounds good. Let's add 5-to-1 leverage to a wildly cyclical industry. That should stabilize things. Perhaps we can even get the management of Long Term Capital to help us with the plan. Best wishes, I2
