>>If you want any indication of how Bill is doing, look no further than SI itself. On October 1, the Bill Clinton Scandal thread had a 1000 message lead (7500-6500) on the Bill Clinton Sanity Check thread. Today, Sanity Check has swamped Scandal by 4000 messages (12500-8500).

What are you smoking? At least 50% of the posts on the "Sanity" thread are anti-Clinton. Just ask Michelle. As if such counts mean anything anyway.

>>Momentum is clearly in Democrats favor. This reminds me exactly of the 1994 mid-term elections. Big Democrat leads were getting halved in the closing days of those races but the Dems still showed daylight between them and their challengers. By election day the momentum carried through and Republicans had a rout. Same here.

Wrong. You have it backwards. The polls and articles in 1994 stated that the Dems were coming roaring back at the very end and had actually taken the lead away and that was because the Dems were basking in Clinton's foreign policy successes and newly signed Mid East peace deal.

Dick Morris has written about what I have detailed.

>>Democratic momentum is accelerating so fast that polling is not keeping up

Just the opposite. The polling doesn't yet reflect the big $$$ advantage the Republicans have saved for the end or the new Rep ads asking the public not to rewarrd Clinton for his perjury.

>>Schumer, for example, has gone from 10 down to dead even.

Wrong. Schumer was up 6-7 points last week and has been losing ever since. Zogby said that with leaners T'amato leads 47-46% as of today and that T'amto will win by 1%. Zogby polled through Sunday.

See the Zogby.com site, they have the tracking polls that show that you are wrong.

>>D'Amato's numbers usually undercount the anti-D'Amato vote. He pointed out the example of Robert Abrams who was a lackluster opponent at best. Al had a big comfortable lead over Abrams in the final days and yet he won by a few thousand votes

Get your ears cleaned. T'amato always does better than his polls and T'amato came back from behind in 1992 - a year in which he had to fight the Dem tide at the top of the ticket.

>>Schumer by a comfortable margin come Tuesday.

This time turnout will be much smaller and T'amato will benefit from the Pataki landslide. I'll take Zogby.

Btw, Cook was way off in 1994 re: Rep gains.

AL & CHUCK NOW NECK AND NECK:
POLL

By ROBERT HARDT Jr.

With Election Day looming tomorrow, the hotly
contested Senate race between Alfonse D'Amato
and Charles Schumer is a dead heat, according to
the final New York Post/Fox 5 tracking poll.

The survey of 1,196 likely voters found 41 percent
supporting D'Amato and 40.7 percent forSchumer.
Undecided voters dropped down to 12.8 percent.
The survey - taken from Friday through yesterday -
had a margin of error of plus or minus 3
percentage points.

This is a race that's way too close to call, said
pollster John Zogby.

With leaners factored in, D'Amato has a slightly
bigger lead, which is still less than a single
percentage point - 47.3 percent to Schumer's 46.5
percent.

Leaners are undecided voters who are asked to
pick a candidate as if the election were the next
day.

We do have D'Amato showing some momentum
in the closing minutes, Zogby said.

He's still picking up more undecideds than
Schumer, though not at the clip that he was.

Obviously, this race could go either way, but
Schumer had his glory days on our tracking poll a
week ago, Zogby said.

Zogby said D'Amato's press conference with
Holocaust survivors and his use of a Yiddish slur
against Schumer gave the Brooklyn congressman
a momentary boost last week.

In the wake of the "putzhead' incident and the
Holocaust memorial, there were signs that
Schumer was gaining ground, but that subsided,
Zogby said.

Since then, D'Amato clearly bounced back. His trip
upstate last week gave him the shot that he
needed.

Among upstate residents, D'Amato leads 48.4
percent to 29 percent.

In the crucial battleground of New York City's
suburbs, D'Amato is up 44.1 percent to 37.7
percent.

Schumer is the big leader in the five boroughs,
61.4 percent to 26.4 percent.

Among Jewish voters, D'Amato gets only 16.8
percent, while Schumer, who is Jewish, has 71.5
percent.

Among Democrats, Schumer leads 64 percent to
21.5 percent, while D'Amato holds the GOP vote,
69.1 percent to 15.2 percent.

Independents are narrowly backing Schumer, 36.4
percent to 33.1 percent.

The gender gap in the race shows D'Amato
leading with men, 44.5 percent to 39.1 percent,
and Schumer winning with women, 42.1 percent to
36.7 percent.

More than half of those polled said it's time for
someone new in the Senate - 51.4 percent - while
39.6 percent said D'Amato should be re-elected.

Pressed on whom he thought would win the race,
Zogby said he would guess D'Amato.

It's way too close to call, but based on history, I've
got to say that while D'Amato's numbers aren't
good for an incumbent, somehow Schumer hasn't
been able to pull away.

Forgive my hedging here, but I think we may be
looking at a slight D'Amato victory, Zogby said.

I certainly would not bet my house on it, though.
nypost.com

Zogby was on CSPAN this morning and predicted a T'amato win by 1%.

btw, did you see "60 Minutes" last night concerning the massive vote fraud that the Dems have petpetrated through the "Motor-Voter" law. Estimates are that there are 1,000,000 fraudulent registrations in NY alone. Wanna bet that most of the fraud votes Dem?

btw2, I thought you hated Schumer. Schumer is a liar who pretends not to be a liberal and now says he voted against the Gulf War because there was no plan to get Hussein.

Who's dumb enough to believe that? Certainly not enough to give Schumer a victory.

Vince Foster, Hillary lovers?
Former trooper L.D. Brown says he knows it's true

By Paul Chesser
Copyright 1998, WorldNetDaily.com

Perhaps it was a harmonic convergence of events in Larry Douglas (L.D.) Brown's life that led him to decide that now was the time to speak out about his former boss, Bill Clinton.

Brown said he was partially motivated to speak out because of a pending legal complaint against Clinton lawyer David Kendall, in which Brown accuses Kendall of slandering him. Brown filed the complaint Sept. 30 with the D.C. Bar.

The former Arkansas state trooper and Clinton bodyguard from the president's days as governor decided that the March for Justice rally was the right time to unburden himself. Seemingly more of a relief for Brown than a revelation to the American public, Brown still confirmed a few other accounts of Clinton misdeeds.

Arkansas troopers who guarded Clinton became famous as the result of an American Spectator article in January 1994, which described how the officers facilitated sexual liaisons between then-Gov. Clinton and various women. Brown was not mentioned by name in that article, but was the subject of another similar story in the April 1994 issue.

Since that story was published, Brown has spoken sparingly in public, if at all. Brown has admitted to the procurement of women for President Clinton.

Brown began his speech mocking Clinton, with his thumb pointing over his index finger at the crowd, saying "This one's for you, Bill."

He called his appearance at the rally his "coming out party -- a coming out party for America, I hope."

Ready to talk in general terms, Brown explained the reason for his long silence about his years with the Clintons.

"The reason you haven't heard a lot from me is because of the grief my family and I have suffered at the intimidation of the Clintons."

Having stopped working for the Clintons years before, Brown said that the intimidation began during the campaign for the presidency in 1992. He said the Clintons sent someone to see him when he was working for the Arkansas State Police, who asked him, "L.D., what is it you want, a job? What kind of job do you want?"

Not having accepted work with the Clintons in Washington, Brown says he still gets anonymous phone calls saying, "Don't talk."

Citing "the abuses of power" that he had "witnessed for years," Brown said that he and his family have become very discouraged in Little Rock. Having finished his college education in England recently, he said that he and his family were considering relocating "over there."

His reason for speaking out publicly now about the Clintons he says, is his children.

"I have kids from college to little kids, and they're starting to ask, and I know they're going to ask in earnest in the years to come, 'Daddy, if you knew so much, why didn't you say something?'"

"That is the most awful question that has been posed to me over the six years of hell (the Clintons) have put this country through."

Despite what he says he has gone through already, Brown says he now expects things to get much worse when he goes home to Arkansas.

"When I go back to Little Rock, it will be worse for my family than it has been, believe it or not. You don't understand; the Clintons still control Arkansas with an iron fist. The business and legal community is just permeated with Clintonites."

Brown further explained his relationship with the Clintons.

"You don't get into these situations with the Clintons unless you are their friends. I was one of the enablers of the Clintons. I was one of the people like there are in the White House today; it's the 'deer in the headlights' philosophy that Clinton followers get. They can't see the truth.

"You have to have a major intervention in your life to split with these folks."

Knowing all that he had witnessed of the Clintons, Brown said that he and his wife "watched on election night in 1992 and we just laughed. We knew they had been able to pull off the fraud in Arkansas with the media, and to get the national media to at least help them get in office in '92. But, we knew they couldn't pull it off up here. We knew they had perpetrated the biggest fraud in American history, by being elected to office."

Brown also spoke about his friendship with Clinton, and how he had a similar childhood as the president. He told of how they both womanized their ways around the pain they couldn't talk about.

"I was an eyewitness to the far darker path that Bill took; that I think he's still going down today. lt's almost impossible for the average American to comprehend the journey that this man has been on; the bodies that he's crawled over, literally and figuratively, to get to where (the Clintons) are. I think the full horror of Bill's assault on truth just staggers the imagination of the average American."

Brown spoke of his concern for America as the reason for speaking now. Describing the president as an "emotionally corrupt man-boy," Brown added, "This is the man with his finger on the button."

"The more desperate they get, the more desperate things they will do to maintain their power."

Brown explained that he couldn't speak about more on the record because of ongoing investigations.

One detail Brown did confirm was his first-hand knowledge of an affair between Hillary Clinton and Vincent Foster. "It's a fact," he said to the audience. In an interview after his speech, Brown said he used to speak to Mrs. Clinton about it, saying she admitted the affair to him. He added that every personal action he saw between Mrs. Clinton and Foster supported that, including kissing, groping, and overt sexual behavior.

Brown also said that both Mr. and Mrs. Clinton knew about each other's affairs.

In Brown's opinion, Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr cannot come to a legitimate conclusion about Foster's death until Mrs. Clinton is questioned about the affair.

The driving force behind the Clintons, according to Brown, is their lust for power. "I witnessed the man sell his soul."

"They are vacuous, vacuous people."

Clinton Re-Election Funds Traced to Asian Prostitution Ring
Charlie Trie Member of Triad Organized Crime Gang

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By MARVIN LEE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On no less than six occasions from 1994 to the election in 1996, Macau crime syndicate figure Ng Lapseng passed customs at San Francisco airport declaring suitcases full of cash, ranging from $12,000 to $175,000 in amount. On every occasion, Ng Lapseng entered the White House the day after. On no occasion did the White House report any political contribution to the Federal Election Commission from Mr. Ng Lapseng. It would have been illegal, a violation of several laws governing official bribery and political contributions.

If these suitcases full of cash coming in from Macau raise questions about unreported illegal contributions to the Clinton White House, the source of the money raises even more questions. Congressional investigators Edward Timperlake and William C. Triplett II have traced the cash back to Macau on mainland China by visiting Mr. Ng Lapseng's headquarters of operation there, the Fortuna hotel. It turns out to be a brothel in the Asian tradition with 30 "VIP" rooms where "hostesses" brought in from all over the world meet the needs of their male clients. Timperlake and Triplett also discovered that Ng Lapseng is a partner with Clinton donor Ted Sioeng in a firm called "Ang-Du International" that procures Thai women for Macau brothels.

Ng Lapseng is the proud owner of a group photo of himself together with Bill and Hillary Clinton, shaking hands and smiling.

Ng Lapseng (also known as Ng Lap Seng) is tied not only to the People's Republic of China and its military industry through arms dealer Wang Jun, but also to Chinese organized crime, the Triads. This is where his business association with Charlie Trie comes from. Triplett and Timperlake have discovered--and confirmed--that long-time Clinton friend Charlie Trie is a member of the "Four Seas" Triad gang.

An unpublished 1988 U.S. Justice Department report listed Triad businesses as "narcotics trafficking, money laundering, contract murders, illegal gambling, loansharking, extortion, interstate prostitution rings and alien smuggling." In addition, Triads have become valuable adjuncts of People's Republic of China intelligence services. It seems the Chinese government has used Triad members to funnel cash to Bill Clinton.

In their new book, "Year of the Rat: How Bill Clinton Compromised U.S. Security for Campaign Cash," Tripplett and Timperlake document the numerous concessions the Chinese Communist Party has won from Bill Clinton: a reversal on Taiwan policy, access to U.S. military technology, at least one spy inside the U.S. government, and a strategic foothold on U.S. soil in Long Beach, just to name a few.

In addition to the suitcases of cash that Ng Lapseng carried himself, he wired more than $1 million to his U.S. associate Charlie Trie, who has been a friend of Bill Clinton since 1979. Trie in turn, through conduits, laundered the money so it could end up at the DNC or at Clinton's legal defense fund.

The questions that are raised by the discoveries of Triplett and Timperlake are these: did the suitcases of cash that Ng Lapseng brought with him on the visits to the White House represent proceeds of the Triad crime operations that include the prostitution at the Fortuna hotel, and did the $1 million-plus that Ng Lapseng wired to Charlie Trie for laundering into the DNC and the Clinton defense fund represent funds that he funneled for the Chinese Communist Party in return for the favors they were asking of Clinton?

Definitive answers to these questions are hard to come by, because everyone in a position to know, including those once inside the White House, have either pled the Fifth or fled the country. More than 100 witnesses sought by Congress are unavailable for questioning. And the Justice Department is not investigating.

Triplett and Timperlake's new book "Year of the Rat: How Bill Clinton Compromised U.S. Security for Campaign Cash" is available from the Washington Weekly web site at federal.com

China Accuses U.S. Congress
Thursday, October 29, 1998; 3:11 p.m. EST

BEIJING (AP) -- Beijing accused the U.S. Congress on Thursday of meddling in China's affairs and obstructing economic, trade and other contacts between the two countries.

In a statement, China's Foreign Ministry said two budget acts passed recently by Congress included ''anti-China'' clauses that ''seriously hurt the feelings of the Chinese people.''

Ministry spokesman Tang Guoqiang, who read the statement, did not provide specifics. But he accused Congress of supporting Tibetan separatists, of including Taiwan in a missile defense system and of backing continued arms sales to Taiwan, which China regards as a rebel province.

In recent years, Congress has approved about $2 million annually in funding for Tibetan exiles in India. The United States and Japan also have agreed to research a regional missile defense system, a move China has criticized.

Tang stopped short of threatening retaliatory action. But he said Congress obstructed ''the normal cooperation between China and the United States in economic, trade and other areas.''

''By passing these acts, the U.S. Congress has gravely violated the fundamental norms of international relations,'' Tang said at a twice-weekly briefing for reporters. ''The Chinese side hereby expresses its strong resentment and firm opposition.''

His complaints injected a sour note into what has otherwise been a more positive Chinese attitude toward the United States following President Clinton's nine-day visit to China this summer.

Tang called on Clinton's government to ''explicitly oppose anti-China'' clauses of the funding acts and phase out U.S. arms sales to Taiwan ''so as not to hinder the improvement of Sino-American relations.''

China and Taiwan have been ruled by separate governments since the Chinese civil war in 1949. China has largely succeeded in isolating Taiwan diplomatically and has repeatedly urged Washington to abide by a commitment to phase out arms sales to the island.

CBS 60 Minutes Recap - Sunday, November 1

Vote Early, Vote Often

In an effort to get out the vote, the federal "motor voter" law may have gone too far. Critics say it has never been easier to cheat the system. Co-editor Steve Kroft reported.

Remember, this is another law mandated by the Chief Socialist in Charge.

Question: Has corruption become a part of the the political philosophy of all Democrats? Does the "means" always justify the end result? Are fair elections going to become a thing of the past?

The Neal Boortz Show -- News Talk 750 WSB -- Atlanta

THE MORE THE MERRIER

Did you catch 60 Minutes last night? Steve Croft had a segment about how people have exploited the so-called Motor Voter law to register multiple times … resident aliens .. illegal aliens … all registering to vote in droves. And, guess what party they usually vote for? Why, the Democrats, of course. And who out there is fighting any sort of reform the hardest? Why … again, it's the Democrats.

Odd, isn't it?

Absolutely no ID is required … none.

This is connected to a certain spin that Democrats are trying out in this election. While their legions of illegal voters troop to the polls the Democrats are busy trying to keep the Republicans from exposing the increase in voter fraud. They do this by accusing the evil, nasty Republicans of trying to frighten blacks and other minorities away from the polls.

You heard Cynthia McKinney do this last week. She said that Republicans were going to be videotaping voters. It didn't matter that the Republicans had no such plans .... the purpose was to arouse anger against evil Republicans --- even if you had to base it on a lie.

Clinton crony Paul Begala said on CNN that he has received information that the GOP has plans to frighten blacks away from the polls Tuesday.

All part of the Democratic party system of encouraging and protecting unqualified voters going to the polls and then demonizing the Republicans or anyone else who tries to expose the fraud.

YEAH .. BUT DID HE LIE UNDER OATH ABOUT IT?

Certainly, you have heard by now that genetic tests have proven that Thomas Jefferson's had a child through his affair with his slave, Sally Hemmings. What you haven't heard is that the doctor who headed this genetic study did so specifically to help Clinton face impeachment hearings.

..... just another mindless idiot who thinks the entire Clinton thing is about sex. Where is the evidence that Thomas Jefferson violated his oath of office and lied under oath in a civil trial and before a criminal grand jury?

Good news for you, I just saw Dick Morris and he stated that Schumer would win.

Bad news for you. Morris stated that all this talk of a Dem rebound fits the best case Republican scenario. Why? Morris says because the Rep voters see and hear this and are going nuts! - they can't wait to get out and vote against Clinton. He says that Bill and Hillary are motivating voters - it's just that they're Republicans.

Morris predicts net 5 Republican Senate gains and a net 20 + Republican House gain.

Says Hollings is gone.
Says Moseley-Braun is gone.
Says Reid is gone.
Says Feingold is gone.
Says Bunning wins.
Says Boxer-Fong and Murray-Smith are too close.
Says only Rep Senator that loses is T'amato.

btw, Morris is one of two who predicted 1994. The other was Michael Barone.
