Read my recent posts on the ATHM thread. I believe in Adam Smith's concept of laissez-faire free markets. Let 'em slug it out. You'll get high quality, low price, and intense competition. We can't have that here. The people prefer to pay the protection money for fairness. That means low quality, high price, no competition. They're free to choose. You just need to build a wall to keep their choices out. That takes piles of money that you get when you resort to whatever means necessary. Ah, castles and the road to serfdom.
