HK fights back on Singapore listed Futures. The HK government has officially requested Reuters and all other data suppliers to stop feeding real time quotes to the Singapore Futures Exchange in order to block it's introduction of the new HK HSI index futures....

The HK government sees the Singapore move as a major threat and is reacting strongly to their moves.

WONG, Long in Hong Kong, and short Wall Street. A little patience required of the latter part.

I got a kick out of this one: I read last week where Tung complained, during his recent visit to Beijing, that Anson Chan has more influence in Hong Kong than he does. He feels "hamstrung" by her "dominance," the story said. I'd be laughing if I hadn't read something between the lines.

Did he really expect some action would be taken? And, if so, what would lead him to that expectation? Or, maybe it was only an excuse in response to his superiors criticizing some aspect of his administration.

Also, appears, from what I've been reading of the Mainland, that Beijing has put out the word to crack-down hard before things get out of hand.

My opinion? Social unrest on the Mainland is not just a problem, as is being reported by most news media. It's now a full-blown crisis.

Wong, I mentioned this a few notes back. If done slowly and
methodically, why would it send the retest of previous lows?

If they don't get out, how can they fight another day when the
US bails the hedge funds so they can fight another day?

Perhaps the answer is forthcoming of responsibility in the first
place. Backers collaberation??
