Guess cut wasn't deep enough. >>Monday November 2, 4:27 pm Eastern Time RESEARCH ALERT-Medtronic cut to attractive CHICAGO, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Vector Securities International Inc. said Monday that it has lowered its rating on cardiac devices maker Medtronic Inc. to attractive from buy, citing its current valuation and uncertainty about Medtronic's plan to acquire Sofamor Danek Group Inc. (NYSE:SDG - news). -- Vector's initial view of the acquisition of neurological device maker Sofamor Danek, announced Monday, is that it will add four to six cents to the 2000 EPS estimate of $1.94. -- The firm continues to recommend purchasing Medtronic shares on weakness, according to a research note. Medtornic shares were up one at 66 Monday.<<
