Join World Leaders in ADSL Technology at the 1998 ADSL Forum Summit in Los Angeles
Compaq and Dell Address "Hot" Topic: ADSL & Home PC Market
FREEMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1998-- World leaders in the telecommunications industry will gather in Los Angeles, California for the ADSL Forum's Summit Meeting on Tuesday, November 17, 1998. The Summit Meeting will highlight new developments in the rapidly expanding field of ADSL with a focus on service deployment to business and consumers, new broadband applications, and actual end user experiences. In addition, the top two PC manufacturers, Compaq and Dell, will discuss how ADSL is affecting the home PC market. ADSL Forum members and non-members are welcome to attend.

''The summit will prove to be of value to anyone involved with, or interested in ADSL,'' said Hans-Erhard Reiter, the ADSL Forum Chair. ''Our agenda is packed with industry leaders who will share world-wide experience of both technical and market aspects of ADSL technology.''

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Keynote speaker, Glenn Estes, Vice-President of Technology for SBC Technical Resources, Inc. He will address how ADSL will affect SBC's Internet and data strategy. Leading CLEC's and ISP's will discuss their ADSL service deployment. In addition, four broadband application providers will discuss how ADSL will enable new multimedia entertainment delivery to the home. Those in attendance will also hear from actual end users of ADSL who will discuss how they are using ADSL and what they have gained from the technology.

With presentations and panel sessions on DSL strategies, the roadmap to the home, broadband applications, and end user perspectives, the Summit will provide a high-speed update on the key issues and opportunities for ADSL for the turn of the century.
