<<Hate to kick a dead horse, but you guys on the RR always convey a sense of superiority and that you are the sole arbiters of what is really right and wrong.... regardless.>>

Jeez guy, Clinton's the one carrying the Bible when he leaves the church even if he's getting blown 20 minutes later on Easter Sunday. I'm voting republican and I haven't been in a church since my mama died in '84. Get off the RR bull.

Your ilk have been slamming the republicans on family values. Who wrote [or ghost wrote] It Takes A Village? What party can't order a bowl of soup without saying it's for the children [the ones not aborted].

Actually, as I have said on this thread and others before Newt is no hero. I don't like him and I think he has been bad for the party. Also, I don't think he has been an effective leader. The recent budget deal is the latest example. He still acts like he's in the minority party. The ethics committee process was followed in his case however and a punishment of sorts was meted out. Personally, I think he should have resigned just as I think Clinton should resign. However I liken it to the OJ situation, the process was followed and we must live with the outcome. The problem with the Clinton situation is that no one wants to follow the process and instead we are to decide by opinion poll. The rule of law was vindicated although neither you nor I agree with the outcome.

As for me I'm not on the RR and if "sense of superiority" means being disgusted by having a perjurer in the WH, I guess I'm guilty as charged. JLA
