WASHINGTON (FFBN) -- Monday's convertibles market was a mystery as companies moved higher on no news. However, one trader was quick to note that "more buyers are coming in . . . We're seeing more upside [movement] taking place in the converts market."

Elsewhere in the converts market, C - Cube Microsystems's (CUBE) 5.875% bonds due 2005 rose 4.6%, or 4, to 90.50 - 91.50 bid/ask as the common stock moved up 2.5%, or 2 1/2 points, to 20 3/8. The converts are 24.63 points above parity.

What makes you think Fred has two pails? Didn't you know that Fred likes to recycle? ;-)

Besides, why waste good money on a second pail when you could buy another chip from CUBE?
