SanDisk Doubles the Capacity of CompactFlash Cards, MultiMediaCard, PC Cards and Embedded Flash Chipsets

biz.yahoo.com

Article lists 96MB CompactFlash for $220. This is about $2.30 per MB. CompactFlash prices are crashing downward. They are currently about $3.50 per MB. Earliuer this year they were about $6 per MB. The new Sandisk cards wil be available 1st Q 99 and they are being previewed at Comdex.

Iomega's Vapor! is a poor substitute with a potential for being MUCh less reliable than solid state Flash. But Iomega's Vapor! will sell relatively well its first month or two mainly to Iomega Investors and a few tech-heads. Then... Nothing.
