Yup! There is a small company in Winnipeg called AirWire Technology that does something like that. They recently developed a wireless nursing station. They were recently bought out by Symbol Technology in the US who creates a lot of this wireless technology for the healthcare industry in particular, but I'm not sure if any of it relates to wireless information right from the patient. You might want to call the people from Airwire. Symbol has a lot of competition on this technology and much of it is used for healthcare. Toy
