Bob: I would think that $2500/month would be enough to pay for at least 3 or 4 armed Mongolians. Why would you need an expatriate from Canada/U.S. to protect a Mill in the middle of Mongolia? Even if the security men weren't that honest, what could they steal from a Mill? It isn't as if they're protecting an Art Gallery. There can't be too much movable in the Mill. They aren't going to risk losing probably- well-paid-by-Mongolian-standards security jobs by stealing some tools. So although $2500/month might be laughable for security on a Canadian or U.S. property, I'm satisfied it buys good security in Mongolia. The lower labour costs for Mongolia are definitely a big plus. When the POG picks up, the Bumbat Mill should benefit from the low labour cost. Now, Dave, about MAC and a possible settlement ...... ?
