Dave, the partnership thing sounds good, at least as a starter, and may allow TLAB so save some face in the early going. I also agree with your more poignant observation:

"It takes real effort to read all 400 entries on Ciena's string daily, plenty of hype and BS..."

I'm thinking of building those guys a clubhouse to play in, maybe in the County of Hornyville... or somewhere on Mars.

About two weeks ago a post on yahoo from "Baltimore fund manager" stated that cien had several contracts in the works and they would be announcing them the first/mid Nov. I don't know if poster was really a fund manger out of Balt or not but post seems to have project ed the news a few weeks ahead. I believe cien/tlab in dead and cien will announce new contracts. take care John
