I have been following SFAM for a while and am interested in opinions on this stock. Today, the stock closed at $16 5/8. Obviously, up quite a bit from the lows just like many of the other semi equipment stocks.

I do believe that the days of the prices from a month ago are over. I personally believe that we are in the beginning stages of the next bull market for semi equipment and chip stocks. The news I have been reading and hearing is to compelling not to have a position in these stocks.

Now, that being said, one of the things that appeals to me about this stock is that its book value is $17.90. So, it is trading below book value at a time when the market is now starting to turn around. To me it seems like a very strong value.

Am I wrong? If so, why. Besides the fact that the stock is trading below book value, in a sector that is starting to turn, I believe that SFAM has strong upside potential. If it does not start to move soon, I bet it will be bought out.

Does this company have bad technology or products. Poor management? I did see that Montgomery downgraded them today. Does anyone know why?

Any info on this stock would be appreciated. I can't find any reasons why you would not want ot own this stock.
