Sold my PAIR today; massive downgrades and the company denying any takeover discussions; I'll bet on a pullback to 8+ and if it doesn't happen; so what. PAIR just gets killed every time it runs up on takeover speculation and the company jumps right in and denies it all. This time you have to add all the downgrades. The market really wants to squash an rumor oriented speculations in PAIR.

Boy, looking over the dead dogs; CS, WDC; they have had some nice runs. I think getting out of PAIR will pay off as I think it will re-test 8. I'll buy it back at 8. There have been so many great plays and I haven't made enough of them. That drubbing the techs took really does numb you to playing the market robustly. There was a rolling correction nature to it. I wonder how the market will react to the election which has been solid Democratic which has been a real surprise. Impeachment is out of the question now despite all the rhetoric from the Republican's.

''We believe there is an opportunity for upside surprise in revenues and earnings as the market for
broadband access begins to develop and accelerate over the next few years,'' said Johnson.
''Aware has emerged as the leading vendor of intellectual property (IP) in the market for broadband
access over traditional telephone lines. We believe Aware will have the opportunity to fully exploit
the market's development.

''As one of the pioneering vendors in the ADSL category, Aware is trying to capture the first mover
advantage on this emerging market as the IP vendor,'' said Johnson. ''Aware has established
technology partnerships with Analog Devices, Lucent Microelectronic, 3COM and Siemens
Semiconductor. We expect additional, similar relationships to materialize within the next few
quarters.''

The speculative fever in the internet stocks is astonishing; like at INKT again and for the week. These have been the stocks for most of the year of 1998; we could have ignored much of everything else.
