Thanks for posting those highlights. It sounds like the analyst(s) came away with a good impression and I got the impression that they will upgrade the company after November 24. It seems that despite the quarterly difficulties, Newbridge is well positioned going forward and might have a positive statement to make with the earnings release.

Merging Traffic On MainStreet

Newbridge Networks Corp. and Siemens AG recently unveiled the MainStreetXpress 36177 Multiservices Platform ATM switch. The switch, which has a 1.6-Gbps switching fabric, consolidates voice, video and data traffic at the edge and links directly to Newbridge's 36170 core ATM switch. Pricing and availability have not been announced.

Dear Gary,
I would appreciate if you could elaborate on the "current tough one" heading on the merril report? If, for any reason, Newbridge misses their quarter, it is not going to be a lot of fun. Many of us, myself included, believe in the quality and long-term value of the company. However, many of us have sustained considerable losses due to its poor stock price performance over the last year. Analysts repeatedly say that they want two decent quarters before they upgrade. First quarter was reasonably good. If we miss on this one, in my view it might be quite a setback re: the stock price.
