Off topic? Any and all who would care to comment:

While on the cross Jesus said,

"My God, My God why hast thou forsaken me?"

I've heard what I consider to be a quite standard theological explanation of what was going on at this time, but wonder if there is any further support for it in the Bible.

I know it says in 1 Cor ? somewhere -- "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf ...

Interested in everyone else's understanding of why Jesus uttered this phrase.

Gregor, dear Gregor, and Shalom, and all who prayed for Brooke. I just caught what happened there. How wonderful indeed, in a holding pattern in which the earth apparently looks abandoned to be run by the insane, that the quiet proof is still shown.

It is amazing. Never to be understood. Thank you most precious Heavenly Father. And please soon send your Son, Jesus Christ, that we might behold the unspeakable beauty and power of His being. And that He can finally cleanse the world of all unrighteousness and bring creation back to a right standing with You, Precious Father in Heaven, The One True God, the Father of Jesus Christ. To whom the Son looks still for everything. The Lamb of God. Help us all to see this clearly as You would have us see it.

Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. Millions are waiting.

Amen.
