FWIW: FGII, CXIPY, JRM, and MDR's earnings estimates are the only ones that have increased overall the last 6 mths.

Also interesting, TDW and CKH were of the few who had earnings estimates increased over the last month. They must have cut them too much previously and are now having to increase them a little.

The ones hit the most (earnings estimates decreased the most)? The land drillers GW, PTEN, UTI. Shallow water drillers have also been hammered ESV, RDC, MRL.

Marc,

SLB indicated it was not making any major purchases and its 1999 revenues will be down 10%. This came over the Reuters around 1:30pm.

No surprises as I can see. Maybe a positive since SLB is not going into its warchest right now.
