Boston Scientific Dn 10% After International Head Resigns

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Boston Scientific Corp. (BSX) opened down sharply Tuesday after the company disclosed to some investors Monday that Jim Corbett, president of Boston Scientific International, resigned, analysts said.

News of the resignation also fueled market rumors that the company might disclose some accounting problems in its Japanese operations, which account for about 20% of its business, analysts said.

Rumors had begun 1to circulate shortly after Boston Scientific delayed its earnings announcement on Oct. 23.

Boston Scientific's shares opened down 7 1/4 at 45.
