Hi David,
I didn't mean to imply that DVD won't continue to grow until it is recordable. I was trying to say that when a recordable DVD hits the market then DVD can be looked at as a total replacement to VCR's instead of as an AV playback device only. Yeah, there definitely is a market for DVD players and it will continue to grow. But, if it can become a total replacement to the VCR (ie, recordable) then you can probably multiply all current DVD growth projections by ten. (Based on CUBE's price increase since news of this chip leaked out Friday afternoon it looks like some of the folks on the street see some huge potential here too.)

Re DVD for computers, I still would like to see more software and game releases. I do have on for a laptop, but have found few practical uses so far.
