Now they sat the date of STRX is November 12.. profit taking would perhaps be in order since the date is not close when you consider the market volatility. Basically the higher volatility in the market the closer the stocks should be played to their report dates. The upgrade and all the good news was good for a pop but if the market retreats STRX might retreat as well. If you do sell, of course it would be good idea to get back in closer to the 12. I am personally holding since 19 big blocks already went through today. You must also remember there are other plays besides earnings plays.. A day like today would also be good for a) a company that reported good earnings but went really unnoticed and it did not gap up (TRL)but instead made a steady gain all day. b) some past 'street beaters' like LGTO, AMCC, DMMC, CREE (just upgraded to a buy) c) some "news" stocks like SPYG which I posted a few hours ago.
