Hi V!

No, I'm not mad, just bored and exasperated with this stock. My basis is really not bad at all......but I'm just disappointed to see the same old thing quarter after quarter. Buddy is right, all that matters is cash flow. I'm not suggesting that officers and directors are self-dealing or breaching their duty of care....only that the shareholder isn't always first on the priority list; which is too bad.

I figured that GT did not own the Unreal engine....but they supported its development....did they not? Shouldn't they realize some return for this investment? As you can tell....I'm not one to subscribe to the "developers should be treated like rock stars" school of thought. We can leave that to the folks at G.O.D.

It is just that quarter after quarter....we see substantial revenues....and no earnings. And I think it is incompetent to suggest that earnings would have been much better if Time to Kill had shipped last quarter. Everything depends on one console game??? One reason why I like GT is because their revenues are diversified. And I'm very glad to see the additional development revenues. I think everyone agrees this is a critical area. But I don't think we can blame things on Scoot.

But I think the reason why many of us invest in software...is because there is significant potential for return. Games are planned and revenues forecast. But in this case....the hit games constitute bread...not the butter. Where would we be without Blues Clues...and Deer Hunter? These lightning strikes have only served to keep the ship from sinking (not that I'm ungrateful for that)!

I think Unreal is a great game. But it is heavily discounted and highly promoted. How much is GT actually making? WOT? I can hardly wait. But it ships in the spring. I always thought Christmas was the season for video games?????

Finally....I would never argue with your TA <ggg>! I haven't lost any $$ and I'm not cashing out. I would just like GT to get its act together.

I also wish I owned a piece of the company that did your Dukette PR. Talk about capital expenditures........!!!!

-Scot

To me as Alex Cavendish so aptly stated on the IPLY thread. Gaming stocks are basically created to separate suckers from their money. Can't help but see this as being true when gazing upon most game companies out there. Duke is fine but most of GT's current lineup is pretty weak. But then again that can be said about most game companies. Just think in 100 years we can play Fallout 200 and it may not be a fictional story. Oh joy.
