I agree with your assessment. BHP will sooner operate Snap than DeBeers IMHO. Turner is Aussie and has ties with BHP brass. There's some food for thought for anyone mulling over a hostile takeover.

Exactly - anybody doubting that can just check the mpv chart.

Lots of speculation on the thread here, eh - but reality is that there's 1.35mil tonnes indicated to date; newswire.ca - on which much of the value depends on the "three largest stones recovered [which] weigh 10.87, 8.43, and 6.03 carats, respectively." winspear.com

Add that up - 25.33 carats. That's less than one-fifth of a troy ounce.

Still a great speculation, and I'll be holding some for the duration, but let's not get carated away -g- ......... cheers .... macros
