Chuckalections, I do not know thy view of elections, but I view them not as victory nor defeat, but simply as the will of the majority of the people. Now, back to the household dilemma--the wife cheers for the Demostupocrats, and I cheer for the Government of the People. I hope not to loose my faith in the wisdom of the ruling majority of the people. They are mostly right, but I must say that while I differ in their recent choices, I must say that that is our system and I revere it greatly! I revere the system, I revere the system, I do! What I like about the system is that I get to differ, and I have a voice and I am not taken to prison for having a voice--If our system were different, I would have been in prison all my life--Yes, I do like this system even with all its faults and warts-- Our country is a different country, we accept immigrants, and they have and always have shaped us, but astoundingly, mostly for the positive. If you look at all the undesirables who have "invaded" our country, you will see that the "invaders" have been transformed by the strength of our "wonderful system" and have served us well. You all know that I am a not so good speller, so forgive me in that and then listen through the misspelled words to the message that I send. Whether you come here from the sewers of Calcutta, or from the Culture of the Gods of Olympus, let you know that your are welcomed by our country and have been (with certain exclusions) for some time. What we ask is that you contribute and have loyalty to the concept, and those who come from oppressive cultures certainly do. we are and certainly will be a country of emmigrants, and the last is never greater than the first. The lazy are always to be spit upon, but we need to get better at that. The lame are to be helped, and also the old and the inferm. Let the able bodied not be incumbered in their efforts and let not the government interfere with the sincere efforts of its people to better themselves. Let us all realize that if we do not like this government, we can vote with our votes, or with our feet. We can move to Belize (not currently recommended), but there are other opportunities. I think that I have pretty well represented my juandiced view here, and I will shut up!! Opinionated, Jack!!!
