Here is where we totally agree. The problem for me is I don't see the initiative to replace this policy. I don't see anything being done. Not having the sanctions would accomplish no more in our military strategy than keeping them. However, keeping them is directly resulting in the deaths of over 5000 innocent village children per month.

The current policy reminds me again of the bad guy who takes hostages. Except in this case we start killing off the hostages hoping he will give up, and we blame his lack of cooperation for their deaths.
