Ping-ing-ing-ing-ing.

ping -h

Not so on the Win NT products. For ping -h, you get a message saying "bad option" and then help anyway, but for tracert -h you get an error message because that option is supposed to be followed by the number of hops. For both on NT, -? works.

And we wonder why the poor users are confused.

I get a nice fast 100-150 msec connection from here at the office, but with occasional dropped packets. An IT nerd came around looking for a particular kind of test equipment which was supposed to be jamming the local network at this end of the building... fortunately, it wasn't here in my office... but, other than local troubles, which they seem to have found and fixed (or it went home for the night), we get a connection direct to Seattle via ANS's network, rather than the clogged-up Sprint that others are reporting. I'll check from my ISP at home later, and report again.
