30 seems to be massive resistance for Oracle. My broker told me today there is a wall of sell orders lined up at 30 just at his firm alone (Salomon Smith Barney). I think it will be a while before ORCL breaks through...just my humble opinion (and very very long Oracle).

OOW is Oracle Open World. It's Oracle's own trade show. I think
that there are 2 a year, one in the east and one in the west. I
do know that OOW is in San Francisco this year -- there are
billboards on 101 about it.

There was a big analyst meeting in Carmel, I think, but I wasn't
invited for some reason. I guess I need to be a big analyst? I
talked to a couple of Oracle people that went and they were happy.
My reading between the lines is that the analysts really like the
8i message, but are waiting to see if the product lives up to its
marketing. If the first release of the real stuff is a hit, I
would expect to see the stock move up.
