One can imagine a Delphi-like product for Linux, but it's not going to be a "port". A more likely scenario would be JBuilder for Linux.

Inprise has got a Delphi compiler that generates java bytecode in the lab (demonstrated at the last Icon), but it doesn't do the gui side of delphi.

Interesting to think about is WINE (Wine Is Not an Emulator) which takes a two pronged approach to Windows emulation on Linux and other unices. The first part is to provide a run-time environment that is an emulator of the Windows environment, so you can run Windows binaries directly. It is still alpha quality but a lot of stuff actually runs. The second half of WINE is Winelib which is a set of C libraries that are designed to let you re-compile and link your Windows source under unix without making any code changes, the result being a native unix binary that looks and feels just like the Windows original. Delphi in combination with an improved Winelib could be an interesting product.
