What it takes is sales engineers (like Intel's) to take the product out, explain the roadmap, and work with the customer to see superior performance and price in the product. The product need not be perfect (as in Intel's "operation crush" in the '80s). One of the sales in that campaign was to IBM's PC group with the 8088. A superior product helps, or even an acceptable one. Are any of the K-6's superior? How would anyone know? Maybe the master salesman Jerry should get in his limo and call on some potential customers -- like Michael Dell or Ted Waitt. Jerry talks a lot about beating Intel, but I want some action and some profits. The company has a billion less than when I bought in, and is making a shiny penny (though it had to capitalize R&D and forego tax benefits) to do it. I want results, not mindless chatter.

Why don't we move this to the AMD thread?
