wmolloy, Correct me if I am wrong, but QCOM appears to have $302mm in cash and investments. With 74,500,000 diluted shares outstanding, that means that QCOM is carrying about $4.00/cash on the books, I'd say, which helps finance growth moving forward...

They paid out $11,809,000 to Sony for their share of the profit @ QPE during Q4. They mentioned on the conference call that QPE produced more for QCOM than Sony, so profit at QPE exceeded $23,618,000. QPE is only a Manufacturing Joint Venture now, so each side can make more money with the phones depending on how well they sell them, so really, QPE is doing better than this.
