I understand that brokers from both PWebber and MLynch are pushing CPQ over DELL for the short term (4-5 months). They say that a short term runup to 40-45 by January is likely.

CPQ is not going anywhere...
I think CPQ has matured. What I mean is they got tired of keeping up with the pace in the computer industry. They have diversified and are going to be satified with being a large and stable company. I don't expect them to go away, and when Dell overtakes them in the PC business they will repond that that is just one part of their overall business. I no longer consider them a growth company and would be interested in seeing them increase their dividend payments.
