I'm tempted to believe that today's action at the close was a bear trap. It started at approximately 3:45 eastern and the price went from 132 to its closing low on practically no volume. The MMs were just knocking the bid down over and over. Plus, Glenn just mentioned that he found shares available to short at 4 brokerages today.. (although not Datek, since they have made it official company policy to not allow shorting of Amazon- legal or not) The could be looking to attract a bunch of nervous shorts to jump on the bandwagon tomorrow, which can then be easily squeezed to generate forced buying of those insider shares that need to be dumped.
