JIM,

AMD doesn't only sell CPUs.. really I expect a little more logical argument than that. They have well documented losses in flash and other divisions. Add to that FAB costs for the NEW fab that is opening up and is not PRODUCING ANYTHING yet. These costs are all part of the industry.. go back and look at the balance sheets.

Steve

Re: "Now that is dumping and its continues. Question is why ? "

You must not have been following AMD for very long or you would know the answer to that question. To put it simply, Jerry Sanders is in complete and total control of AMD and he runs it for his purposes and his alone. Jerry has a pathological hatred for Intel and he will do any and everything possible to do Intel harm, regardless of the cost or impact to AMD. Shareholder value is not a consideration here. Profit means nothing either. Attacking Intel at all costs is the prime directive and from looking at AMD's stock performance over the last 20 years, it is pretty clear that almost any imbecile could have made AMD a more profitable investment over that time period. Only a total and complete idiot could have held this company back for decades as Jerry has succeeded in doing. Surprisingly, in the final analysis, Jerry has done as good a job of sabotaging AMD as any Intel "plant" could possibly have done.

Long live Jerry and may he head this company for decades to come.
