Zax<I only pray that they were huxtered into this collusion by TMF...>
In a way I think you over estimate TMF or maybe I do.
I've always felt they're much more savvy investors over here at SI.
I did notice that the Gardner's have a book out that's on the top 10 list, so perhaps they do have a lot of influence with the little guy, who is also trying to get rich quick.
Aol's 20% interest in TMF has always bothered me. When you read TMFJeff's hype he reminds me Hitler's Dr Goebbles. Except this time he appears to me to be the offical PR man for the keiretsu.
I have noticed that TMF on-line (AOL.com) does not get anywhere near the traffic as here. I understand that the big bulk of Aol's subscribers just click and stay within Aol's internal TMF.
That's a nice play. Datek advertises on Aol and Aol refers it's 14mil subscribers to Datek. Now that's a marriage made in heaven.
I wouldn't read too much into Datek's recent ban on allowing its customers to not short the 'Thing'.
When you've screwed a lot of naive shorts out of $millions. Its time to put it back in your pants before the SEC makes you.
