Elmer, Sorry the statements were poorly phrased to make it seem as if I was favoring the Alpha. That's probably a result of the fact that I have actually seen 21264 benchmarks published by spec but no 8500 benchmarks yet. However something that has to be remembered about all these CPUs is even if I can benchmark samples, hell even if I can get samples, there is still no garuantee that production will go smoothly (i.e. yields, both from a physical defect standpoint and a speed bin stand point).
