>>>BTW, I had this recurring dream again last night. In the dream, I'm running TOWARD a nuclear explosion... Oddly, there's no blast, no destruction, no heat, no discomfort - just the visual effect (and no blinding, either) - like watching it on a big outdoor TV screen in the sky.<<<

Jon, you were merely visionary on Election Eve. What you saw was a future rerun of Lindon Johnson's political ad against Barry Goldwater, the difference this time it wasn't run on television, but rather your computer screen. Very visual stuff this web advertising makes. But consider yourself lucky you didn't parallel the sad and vicious destructive aftermath of Hurricane Mitch into your dream. That easily would have awakened you. It did me.

I wrote a song called The Watcher, those small characters with the big bald heads and high-collared capes, who overview the heoric and destructive scenes as depicted in Marvel Comics. Here's a verse to go with your dream:

The Watcher he waits,
Sees only universal fates
His destined role so clear
To watch on through the years
In the midst of time's tragedy
The Watcher cannot interfere,
In the midst of catastrophe
He can only shed a tear
He's seen it all before
Knows what's always been
He knows the future
What it's going to send
--The Watcher he waits.

Regarding the timing of Brady's luck? No one lost more than I did when I withdrew from Zulu, in order to try for a pharmaceutical merger, during the $1.50 run-up. Indeed, Brother Brady, I know the feeling. It's no fun. But then again, neither is Jon's dream vision or Hurricane Mitch.
