Good grief. Not only did I type it wrong, but twice, in the same frigging post. Thank you for the correction, Gary, Dick, et al. The correct DOS command for 1000 pings would be:

ping -n 1000 target.com

where "n" signifies that the next variable is the repeat count.

This is what happens when one works in Win95, NT, Unix of many flavors, and VS. The brain becomes mush, and the fingers take on a life of their own......
