cb, you better believe that my kids will get an education, 50-70% of which will be my own personal responsibility. they will go to a decent school at the very least. if it isn't my public school then i'll pay for private school.

just understand that as the gen'l public schools deteriorate that, crime and violence will increase. mostly in the city areas but also in the "safe neighborhoods." i hope that the marginal violence that such a policy will directly cause doesn't mean that you lose a child. nor me.

nor do i wish the kids of others to suffer so mine can do well.

the public schools are weak. you can get an education but, as a parent, you must work harder.

i'm sure you can afford a private school. so, why not pay? i'm not being hypocritical as i'm willing to pay for a private school and, more than likely, am not nearly as well off as yourself.

the issue is not education. it is finances.
