Cheeky, I posted the Stockwatch article for purely informational purposes. The opinions expressed therein are those of the writer and are not mine. I will say that I found it to be a most balanced article about Internet stocks in general and Silicon Investor in particular.

Canada Stockwatch operates its own pay website which has proven to be very popular with investors in junior Canadian stocks. They do not have any advertising but derive revenue from investors paying for real-time quotes, accessing historical company information, and by disseminating news releases to their huge database. Plus they sell a daily print version of Canada Stockwatch which is a highly respected publication offering the latest news releases and news stories.

Go2net would probably increase their revenues by about 35 - 50% or possibly more, overnight, if they took over Stockwatch. This is not likely since Stockwatch is privately held.
