Brady,

Actually, I would have guessed that Jon's popularity had more to do with the Datek thread, SuperExpress and Scammer. Even I read a lot about his programs several months ago - because of a reference to them on another thread that I follow. And I do agree with your statement:

"Jon is a very intelligent individual, especially in regards to computers, data systems and the internet."

I have never doubted his intelligence even though I often do question his motivation!

I looked over the "150" and found the names of several people that I am familiar with. It got me to thinking about "why" people peoplemarked certain people. I noticed there was at least one person who had "fallen from grace" (IMO). Then I realized that people could be "marked" for both "good" and "bad" reasons and also because people may have forgotten about who they had peoplemarked. I know I did - I have enough problems just keeping up with the threads involving my own stocks.

Jon, I really was just curious what your perception of the "honor", particularly in light of the fact that the majority of your current postings are on this thread. No offense or joke intended.

Sorry to have gotten so far off topic...back to business!

Bill

p.s. Has anyone else ever noticed that the spell checker on SI always hightlights "internet" - is there another way to spell it? LOL

>>>I think most will agree (by PM) that Jon is a very intelligent individual, especially in regards to computers, data systems and the internet. He is just on the opposite side here on the ZULU board.<<<

No Brady, we don't need PMs to agree to your above comment. Obviously, Jon's been around the block a few times. Certainly more than I have when it comes to investing. But I think we just have to accept that Zulu has some strange affinities, including myself even. I don't consider myself a typical stock investor.

Believe it or not, I hate money. I don't like what it does to people. Just look at some of the attitudes on these threads and the reason why they exist like they do. But I happened to come into a little bit of money--not a whole lot--and figured, well, maybe there's a chance I can turn it into more. You see, it's hard to do a lot with a little bit (though, granted, it can be done); but it's easier to do more with a lot.

So, yeah, I hope I get rich so I can buy back my camper, fix it up and then travel around the country giving money away to people who hold that special twinkle, that ray of hope, that sense of innocence within their eyes. You see, I see this as a giving world and not a taking world.

Whoops! I'm getting carried away again, plus I'm done eating lunch. Be back in the nighttime, as duty beckons. Sad though it be, even PartyTime has to work sometimes. Hope the day ends well for all.
